Description
Medical massage is a clinically informed, outcome-driven approach that targets specific areas of dysfunction—distinct from general relaxation or Swedish massage. This 12-hour, hands-on introductory course emphasizes upper body applications and is ideal for therapists seeking to expand their clinical effectiveness.
Participants will learn to assess postural patterns, palpate anatomical landmarks, and identify fascial and muscular restrictions contributing to pain and limited mobility. Treatment strategies focus on the back, shoulders, neck, and anterior chest, incorporating Facilitated Energetic Therapeutic (FET) exercises and bony lever techniques to access deeper tissues and joint structures.
Key conditions covered include thoracic outlet syndrome, forward-head posture, and shoulder immobility. Through supervised practice and detailed technique refinement, therapists will enhance their assessment skills, therapeutic precision, and confidence in applying medical massage techniques.
Ideal for LMTs seeking to enhance their anatomical knowledge and deliver targeted, evidence-based care.
