Rock & Unlock: The Vibrational State of Healing for Massage is healing bodywork. It focuses on physical alignment and fluidity to free up tensions, traumas, and stresses that have been held in the body. This reawakens the nervous system and restores circulation to injured and chronically painful areas. It is not just touch; it is touch with movement and flow.
It is a ‘clothes on’ massage therapy that requires no restrictions in time or place. It can be done as first aid or stress relief in 10 minutes or as a full session on the whole body in 60 to 90 minutes. It can be done with the recipient on a table, in a chair, on the floor, or even outdoors.
Like playing a finely tuned violin or guitar, the practitioner moves the freed-up tensions (energies) through the volume of a body as though the tensions were sound waves traveling through musical instruments. Practitioners, like natural musicians, sense the rhythm, flow, and timing of tensions moving through their clients’ bodies. This bodywork has been described as freeing all ‘noise’ so people can hear and feel their core essence and birth their true light.
Beginning students learn approximately sixteen basic techniques to feel the body align, loosen, and connect so that tensions can unravel. Stretching, shaking, rocking, lifts, rotations, and push-pulls are some of the techniques that allow clients to become aware of where they have been holding and where they are flowing.
A Rock & Unlock practitioner learns how to approach unwanted behavior in the body as a flow problem, rather than a symptom of disease. This liquid consciousness can be accessed not only through the bodywork itself but also by using the thinking, speaking, and listening tools taught in the Level I training.
Rock & Unlock is unique and works effectively in combination with other body therapy forms, especially Cranial-Sacral Balancing, Foot Reflexology, Trager, Rolfing, and Swedish types of massage. It is innovative, and fun and is at the leading edge in holistic health and bodywork.
