Course Description
From the ground up, discover how the feet, legs, and pelvis work together to create stability, mobility, and balance throughout the body.
Our connection to the ground is fundamental to how we move, maintain posture, and interact with gravity. Every step we take involves an intricate relationship between the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and pelvis. When dysfunction develops in one area, compensatory patterns can travel throughout the kinetic chain, contributing to pain, restricted movement, and chronic muscular tension.
In this comprehensive, hands-on workshop, students will explore the functional anatomy and fascial relationships of the lower body, gaining a deeper understanding of how these interconnected structures influence movement and overall musculoskeletal health.
Through guided assessment and practical connective tissue techniques, participants will learn approaches to addressing common foot and ankle conditions, including plantar fasciitis, bunions, and injury-related restrictions. Special attention will be given to identifying compensatory patterns that extend from the feet through the lower extremities and into the pelvis.
As the body’s central connection between the spine and lower extremities, the pelvis plays a critical role in posture, stability, and efficient movement. Students will discover how restrictions within the pelvis, hips, and upper legs may contribute to knee discomfort, lower back pain, and altered gait mechanics.
By integrating anatomical knowledge, fascial assessment, and targeted hands-on techniques, therapists will develop a more comprehensive approach to treating the lower body—not simply addressing where pain presents, but exploring the interconnected structures that may contribute to it.
